Eric Stahl AIA, LEED AP BD+C

Eric strongly believes in the narrative approach to design and the idea that you can craft a story about the building, the site and the occupant.

  • I’m from  Boston; grew up in Natick.

  • My education  Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from UC Santa Cruz; M.Arch from Rhode Island School of Design

  • My favorite space  I love the reflecting pool of Christina Science Center. It's both brutally controlled and yet softly human.

  • A space that has affected me  The space between land and water: the dock of the pond, the beach break and the rivers edge

  • I’m excited about building technology that  will integrate PVs into their assemblies. Buildings should produce energy, not consume it.

  • On Saturday mornings, you can usually find me  sipping coffee with my wife and playing with my 2- and 5-year-old boys.

  • Favorite place in Inman Square  Ole. It's the best Mexican food in the city as far as I'm concerned (it's the closest to what I would get when I lived in California).

  • SketchUp or Revit?  Revit all day. You want to use a pen or a crayon?

  • On my playlist  Humble Pie, Hole, Hendrix, EPMD, PE

  • A secret talent that no one knows about  I can weld.

  • If I could snap my fingers and become an expert in something, it would be  fixing cars. If you can fix an old BMW, you can fix anything.

  • My personal motto  Measure twice, cut once.
