Lauren’s quest and search for knowledge keeps her on top of the latest design trends. With this trait, she’s able to bring the most informed and best ideas to clients.

  • I’m from  Bellingham, Washington - "The City of Subdued Excitement."

  • List your education  Undergrad at the University of Washington in Seattle, and grad school at NESAD/Suffolk University in Boston

  • Why PCA?  PCA has such a wonderful, warm and inviting community with a real culture focused on helping others and providing design that has the potential to make positive change.

  • My earliest architectural / interior design memory  My earliest memory is playing with a vintage set of Lincoln Logs and building the tallest towers I could before they toppled over. When I was in 1st grade, I moved to Legos and would devote my time to building highly elaborate space ships!

  • A space/place that has affected me is  I'm not a particularly religious person, but visiting the Sagrada Familia in Barcelona was a humbling experience! I am constantly in awe of the scale and architectural detailing of religious architecture around the world. It's truly spectacular how much time, effort, innovation and funding goes into these highly elaborate and oftentimes massive buildings.

  • My favorite aspect of working with clients is  Discovering their wants and needs and then hopefully exceeding expectations by delivering a thoughtful and beautiful end product. It's exciting when a client trusts you to execute their vision!

  • What is the nerdiest thing you do in your spare time?  I like to read books about very specific areas of knowledge, dive deep, and then pepper my friends family with constant trivia. Most recently I've been into tree species, but I've also focused on salt, fisheries, different cooking techniques and traditional Japanese woodblock printing.

  • When I’m not working you can find me  Getting outside and exploring nature trails with my family, planning my next trip or cooking fun recipes from my extensive cookbook collection.

  • Name a few of your daily habits  I've been attempting to complete the NYT Crossword Puzzle and Spelling Bee word games daily by the end of the day. I feel like they help me fully engage my brain! It's become a habit that I look forward to.

  • My best vacation  One of my favorite trips has been traveling around Northern Spain with my husband and good friends. The countryside is so beautiful and the people are so friendly. The wine is absolutely perfect!
