Mareesa is motivated in her work to create meaningful places for posterity, as well as a future for herself and those of her generation to enjoy.

  • I’m from  Connecticut (right next to the world-famous New Haven pizza).

  • My education  B.Arch, Northeastern University

  • Notable accomplishments/awards  CANstruction 2019 Best Original Design Winner (Team Co-Captain)

  • My favorite space is  the atrium in the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum — it's the perfect blend of beautiful, timeless architectural forms with nature.

  • A project I’m proud of  The Apartments at Redbrook — I completed the construction administration process mostly on my own and got to see families with children and pets move in and enjoy their new space.

  • Materials that excite me are  bright, cool colors — interesting textures — always changing as you look at them from different angles or at different times.

  • I love Cambridge because  the people care. It is an upbeat, self-aware and progressive city that has a lot to offer.

  • On my playlist  Beyonce, Outkast, Bruno Mars

  • If I were a pantone swatch, my color would be  17-5024 — Teal Blue; half of my wardrobe and accessories would already match.

  • If I could snap my fingers and become an expert in something, it would be  tap dancing.

  • Favorite place in the PCA office  The interior design studio — there are always interesting colors, textures and people to interact with.

  • How my colleagues would describe me  Outspoken and funny
