Tara Martin NCIDQ

Tara enjoys engaging with our clients and working with the team to execute their design vision. Hardworking, collaborative, light-hearted with a keen analytical eye are just a few ways to describe this PCA team member.

  • I’m from  I grew up in the North Shore of MA but, I've been living in the Somerville area since 2016.

  • My education  The University of Alabama (BS, Interior Design); NESAD at Suffolk University (MA, Interior Architecture)

  • Why PCA?  PCA has great energy! It's refreshing to be part of a community that is prideful of their employees and the amazing work that they produce.

  • My earliest interior design memory  I was constantly re-doing my bedroom as a child. My poor dad entertained me and repainted every summer! One year, my bedroom was light and hot pink stripes...yikes.

  • I’m drawn to design because  of the impact it has on people without them even realizing it.

  • My favorite aspect of working with clients is  seeing them get excited when their vision comes to fruition.

  • On Saturday mornings, you can usually find me  in a Pilates class or on a weekend trip!

  • The nerdiest thing I do in my spare time is  read a lot of historical fiction books!

  • SketchUp or Revit?  Revit!

  • Quote that guides me right now  "Everything in life is temporary." This reminds me to be fully present wherever I am in my life.

  • If you were a pantone swatch, what color would you be?  Something minimal but comforting - maybe Warm Gray 1C.

  • Name a few of your daily habits  Coffee, (very in depth) skincare routine and reading before bed.

  • My best vacation  A family trip to my grandmother's hometown in the Czech Republic. I learned so much about my family that I never knew!
