  • My earliest design memory is  My dad was always building things around the house. In some ways it was a matter of necessity. In other ways there was an intentional flourish to what he built.

  • I’m drawn to design because  it is a unique opportunity to create something new in the built environment that evokes a response.

  • Describe your favorite space  The MIT Chapel designed by Eero Saarinen

  • A project I’m proud of is  8 Newbury Street - a revitalization of a 1920's Art Deco building

  • A space/place that has affected me is  the Gropius House in Lincoln MA. Bauhaus design and Constructivism has an opinion.

  • Materials that excite me are  Materiality that is used in a consistent and deliberate manner interests me.
