Last week, Wendy Prellwitz and PCA volunteers were on hand to help out at a student design workshop at the Maud Morgan Arts Center. The workshop this year focused around designing a playhouse for pre-schoolers, offering middle schoolers interested in architecture and design a chance to gain some exposure to what design is all about.
Naomi Sherman, Steve Bryson, Emeline Guajac and Mareesa Graf worked with 6 students, designing and building a super-cool Build-A-Rocket-Playhouse – all designed and built in 2 days/6 hours! From dream to reality …materializing from thin air… It was a blast! The kids will certainly remember that designing something has a certain process and architecture can be FUN!
